Celebrating the launch of Build A Zoo

by digitalchristopherrobin on June 12, 2010

We just launched our most recent kids educational app yesterday – and today it ranks among the top twenty educational iPad apps. The app is called Build A Zoo and features six different educational games that help kids improve their spelling, memory, and coordination skills.
Build A Zoo - iPhone & iPad educational app for kids

Some of the included games include:

Monkey Letter Scramble
Match letters to spell a word and then watch the monkey dance. Letters are spoken when touched and words are spoken when all letters have been matched.

Bird Card Flip
Flip cards to match birds. Helps develop memory and matching skills.

Polar Bear Bowling
Help the polar bears knock down penguin pins — a light-hearted game that helps kids practice their timing.

Elephant Mindreading
Toddlers have to find the person in the crowd that the elephant is thinking about. Great for matching and object recognition.

Turtle Race
Toddlers have to be quick to help the turtle win this race. They need to press a button to power their turtle — and develop fine motor skills along the way.

Dolphin Beach Ball
Drag the dolphin to catch the falling balls and keep them out of the water. Great for working on both timing skills and coordination.

If you’re interested in a promo code, let us know — we’ve got a few to give away still.

But really we just wanted to celebrate today, so we thought we’d share this amazing elephant with you.

Quite something, huh? My daughter and I watched it together – and now she wants to go see an elephant. Off to the zoo we go..

And again – if you’re interested in a free copy of Build A Zoo, just let us know in the comments..

Top 20 Kids iPhone Apps It’s easy to love the App Store, but I do have one frustration – it lumps in kids learning apps with all educational apps, including those aimed at goals such as teaching Korean to businessmen and logic to prospective lawyers. Hello,

These are some great products for kids. The build a zoo seems really fun and interesting, and it is important that when we want to teach our kids that we use things that are fun, because this is where they will learn the absolute most. Even when we teach them we should show a lot of enthusiasm, because then they will get excited. It is like the saying goes, it is not what you say but how you say it.

Thanks for all the requests for promo codes for Build A Zoo!

We only have a handful of promo codes remaining for the current version of Build A Zoo, and unfortunately we don’t have enough to give to everyone that asked.

So, here’s what we’re going to do..we’ll post a code in the comments like this:

    WAFT6AHY4MXL

If you use this code, just leave a quick comment confirming that you used it and letting us know what you thought of Build A Zoo. When the code has been redeemed and a comment has been posted, we’ll make another code available, and so on until they’re all gone.

If this goes well, we will consider doing this with the remaining promo codes we have for all of our other apps as well.

Als0 – for those of you hoping for a promo code for Build A Zoo that aren’t able to snag one – fret not. We’ve got an update coming soon for the app (which means we’ll have more promo codes available) AND we’ll be releasing a free lite version of the app in coming weeks. Should be enough free educational fun to go around…

would this APP be suitable for a 4 yr. old girl with a Speech/Language delay?
i recently got her an iPad, and i am looking for good educational, and enjoyable games for her. She uses my ipod touch now, but i felt she would benefit from the much larger iPad. If there are any other games that anyone can personally recommend i would greatly appreciate it!
